DESCRIPTION:

The Washington County Health Department is seeking a full-time Dental Assistant I. This position provides assistance to the dentist and hygienist for the adult and children dental clinics. In addition, the position sets up, cleans, and sterilizes instruments and equipment.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
|
EDUCATION:
|
Graduation from an accredited high school or possession of high school equivalence certificate.
|
EXPERIENCE:
|
One year of experience assisting a dentist in the performance of dental care.
NOTE: Candidates listed as a dental assistant qualified in general duties on the roster of the Maryland Board of Dental Examiners will meet the experience requirements. Applicants may substitute a completed dental assistant training program for the required experience.

LICENSE:
|
Candidates may be required to place and expose x-rays and be listed as a dental assistant qualified to place and expose radiographs on the roster of the Maryland Board of Dental Examiners and provide a copy of a registration card upon application.
